Pick you up from your hotel at 8am, we depart for Wat Sisaket, among the oldest and most beautiful temples in Vientiane and still remains in its original form. It has been survived from the Siamese War of 1828 and its cloister contains more than 8000 Buddha statues.
Continue on to the nearby Wat Haw Phra Keo. Used as a religious museum, Wat Haw Phra Keo displays a collection of both Lao and Khmer works of art. It is a good glimpse into the city’s arts and culture.
After that, we transfer to Talat Sao, one of Vientiane’s most popular markets, made up from two stories of restaurants, fruit stands, vegetable vendors and jewellers. Here, you can find anything you want, from traditional crafts, Lao textiles, basketry as souvenirs, to high-end goods like electronics and jewellery.
We finish our trip at around 1pm.
