From 7:15am, we pick you up at your hotel in Bangkok and transfer to the starting point in Chinatown. We firstly walk to explore the going-on of a spirited street market. After that, we take the ferry ride crossing the mighty Chao Phraya River and start biking through the back roads in the Thonburi District. Off the beaten track, you can see lesser-known temples, markets and sites, including the Princess Mother Memorial Park, which was opened by King Bhumibol Adulyadej, in remembrance of his mother Srinagarindra, revered by all Thais as the Princess Mother. Among the park’s arching branches stands a small museum, historically rich and well-worth the visit. Back on the trail, we go to visit Santa Cruz Catholic Church – one of the many Old Catholic churches in Bangkok, was built in 1770. This church of the Holy Cross is a legacy of Portuguese-Siamese relations that dates back to the 16th century. After that, we take a break and have a Portuguese desert made from an old recipe. Later we ride through the old community to Wat Kalayanamitr Varamahavihara - the Temple of Good Friends, which is the second biggest Buddha and the biggest monk bell in Thailand. Our next destination is Wat Arun – the Temple of the Dawn. This architecturally impressive structure features four towering prangs adorned by broken pieces of Chinese porcelain. Finally, we cycle back along the river to our starting point. We then use minivan to drop you off at your hotel. End trip around 1:00pm.
