You will be picked up at your hotel in Da Nang city center area and then transfer and then go to a vegetable garden. Here, you can see farmers raising different aromatic plants and spices and have brief about local culinary and food culture. All are used in the daily preparation of the regional dishes.
You will not only see simple but also join to prepare the land and growing vegetables and learn the procedure of planting them with farmers. Rake the ground, sow, water, pick vegetables and other gardening activities. This fun activity will help you to have a better understanding about farmer’s job as well as appreciate for farmer’s efforts.
Then you will have a short time to be relaxed with Vietnamese coffee. This is a good time for you to find out about the coffee history and culture in Vietnam which is considered to be one of the best in the world.
You will continue the tour with visiting a local market. There is a typical local market of countryside. Hectic markets filled with locals shopping for fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, spices. You might also learn some tips of “bargaining” when shopping from tour guide.
At last, go to a local family’s house to begin your cooking class. You will be received detailed guidance from the chef to cook 4 dishes: Ram chien – Deep-fried spring rolls, Goi du du – Young Papaya Salad, Canh Ga Chien Mam – Fish sauce chicken wing, Canh Chua Ca - Sweet Sour Fish Soup. It is a balanced meal with vegetables and meat and its ingredients is easy to find so you also can cook them at your home next times. Don’t worry if you are not good at cooking, with enthusiastic supports from the chef step by step, you will finish your meal. From there, you also learn more about Vietnamese cuisine.
