At 9:00am (1:40pm for afternoon tour), your teacher warmly welcomes you at our class place. First of all, you will join in the market tour to buy fresh ingredients for our class. You will get a feel for real Thai culture as you experience its rich colors, and unique flavors and smells. Your teacher will explain about Thai tastes and customs, local meat, fish, and produce, finding unique ingredients and, of course Thai-style bargaining! After that, we return to class place. You will get a lecture on Thai food and ingredients as well as traditional Thai food prep techniques. When you’re ready, we start! We will make homemade curry paste, and then cook rice and sticky rice. We also make the coconut milk. Later, we start cooking main dishes in on-day set menu. Depending on the day you join in class (from Monday to Saturday), there are 7 different set menus that we could learn to cook. They’re all popular Thai dishes including Tom Yum (spicy sour shrimp soup), Pad Thai (fried noodle Thai style), Khaw Neaw Ma Muang (desert sweet sticky rice with mango), etc. Finish cooking, we enjoy the meal prepare by ourselves together. End program at approximately 12:30pm (5:30pm for afternoon tour).
