ITINERARY IN BRIEF:
07.30 – 08.00: Pick-up at hotel in Old Quarter area then depart for Mai Chau.
12.00: Arrive at Mai Chau then enjoy traditional lunch in local village (vegetarian available)
14.30 - 15.00 Ride with our guide to see farmers working in fields, locals weaving scarves and visit surrounding peaceful villages.
17.00: Free time for walking, shopping in the town.
19.00: Have dinner with the local dishes.
20.00: Watch the Thai’s traditional dance and drink the traditional wine “ruou can”
Overnight at the communal stilt house.

8:30 - 11:30: Continue to explore Mai Chau with:
Visit Mai Chau local market. Spend around 30 minutes in the market.
Climb up to 1200 stairs to explore Chieu Cave.
12:15: Have lunch and free time to relax.
15.00 - 15:30: Get on the van/bus to drive back to Hanoi.
19:00: Arrive in Hanoi Old Quarter. Drop you off at your hotel.

Day 1: Ha Noi - Mai Chau Valley (L/D)
You will be picked up at your hotel then depart for Mai Chau. Mai Chau valley is set in the stunningly beautiful, mountainous region of Hoa Binh Province, 135km south west of Hanoi. It is quite far but it will be worthy for you to have soft and peaceful day. On the way, you will see the road will slowly weave itself through mountains, fertile valleys and traditional villages. You will have 2 stops: A Luoi and Thung Khe Pass. And it takes around 15 minutes that you can stretch your legs. One of stops is Thung Khe Pass with smooth curves. From there, you can have an overview of Mai Chau Valley.
Arrive at Mai Chau, we enjoy traditional lunch in local village (vegetarian available).
After that, you will check in at homestay and take a short rest before begin exploring officially Mai Chau. You will be seen many rice fields, one of signature images of Mai Chau. If you come here in harvest season, you will near to each other and create a big picture of golden rice fields. Rice growing is still a main job of the local so you can see farmers working in fields easily. On the way to ride on small paths of around the village, you also see the women weaving scarves and feed small animals like chickens or ducks. Tour guide will lead you to a house on stilt and introduce to you about its architecture as well as its unique features that will make you understand more about the local life.
If you are silent lover, you will enjoy the Mai Chau trip which can help you forget all of stress and live slower. You also have free time for walking, shopping and immerse yourself in the town.
Then you will have dinner and watch the Thai’s traditional dance and drink the traditional wine “ruou can” to finish a day in Mai Chau.

Day 2: Mai Chau Valley - Ha Noi (B/L)
This is a good chance for you to hunt the sunrise at countryside. Just wake up early to enjoy a sunrise view in fresh air of the morning. You also walk around or even take some basic exercise to begin your goo day. Then have breakfast at homestay to charge full of energy for the last day at Mai Chau.
For this day, you will cycle around 2km to visit Mai Chau market. This is a local market so you can discover about the local life, their habit consuming. You can stroll around the market and see many items, from food, fruits to clothes, silk brocade, etc. This is an ideal chance to get a closer view into the local life.
Then, you will continue to cycle about 500m to start discover Chieu Cave, the most beautiful cave in Mai Chau. This cave has another name is 1000 steps cave, however, to reach to the cave, you will have to pass around 1200 stairs. You will walk through stairs which covered by trees along the road. On the way, you can feel peaceful atmosphere of Mai Chau as well as observing landscapes of this land. It can be not easy but worthy when you conquer those stairs and set your footprint into the cave.
Arrive at the cave, hit on your eyes is many stalactites in different shapes. If you are photography lover, you cannot miss this cave. You can capture many beautiful photos of the cave when the sunshine reflects on stalactites and make them more sparkle.
Spend time to admire the cave’s beauty before have the last meal in Mai Chau.
Next is free time for relaxing and explore rural village.
Then, getting on the car, returning to Hanoi. Tour ends.
