Brief Itinerary:

Day 1: Lao Cai station - Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Sapa (B/L/D) 

5.30 - 6.15: Pick you up at Lao Cai station to Sapa city center. Check in your hotel in Sapa city center. 

9.00 - 9.30: Meet tour guide and start the trekking tour Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van. 

12.00 - 12.30: Have lunch at the local restaurant. 

In the afternoon, continue to trek in the route to Ta Van village before getting the bus to Sapa city center. 

Check in at the hotel. Free time at leisure.  

Have dinner at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel. 

Day 2: Sapa - Cat Cat - Sin Chai – Sapa (B/L/D) 

Have breakfast at the hotel. 

9.00 - 9.30: Start the tour. Spend time to explore Cat Cat village. 

12.00 - 12.30: Have lunch at the local restaurant. 

In the afternoon, continue to trek to Sin Chai village. 

14.30 - 15.00: Come back to Sapa city center. 

Free time at leisure. You can have the dinner and overnight at the hotel.  

Day 3: Sapa - Bac Ha market (on Sunday only) – Lao Cai station (B/L/D) 

Have breakfast at the hotel.  

7.30 - 8.00: Pick you up at the hotel to Bac Ha market.  

9.00 - 9.30: Arrive to Bac Ha market. Take time to discover the market.  

12.00 - 12.30: Have lunch at the local restaurant in Bac Ha town.  

13.00 - 13.30: In the afternoon, you will visit Hoang A Tuong’s Palace and Pho village.  

16.00 - 16.30: Get the bus to return to Sapa city center.  

17.30: Get the bus to Lao Cai station. Tour ends. 

Day 1: Lao Cai station - Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Sapa (B/L/D) 

You will be picked up at Lao Cai station to Sapa city center. Check-in the hotel and have time to be relaxed. You will meet tour guide around 9.00 AM and then start trekking day tour at Y Linh Ho – Ta Van route with the distance about 12 km.  

Trek to Y Linh Ho, a village is located at flank of mountain. The local live dispersed and not concentrate to just one area. The name of village is similar to the man came this land to live, tilled and sowed the land. The village is surrounded by Hoang Lien Son mountain range. The main job of the local is rice growing. Therefore, hitting on your eyes is a picture of many rice terraces. If you come here in harvest season, you can be overwhelmed by its grandeur and beauty with perfect yellow color.   

Then, you will move along Muong Hoa Stream to Lao Chai village. You will go to Lao Chai and Ta Van village. Lao Chai is about 7km from Sapa city center. Two villages are home of Tay and Hmong people. They are located between Hoang Lien Son mountain range and Ham Rong mountain which makes good condition for people can live. Come here, you will see many terraced fields and the local are working on their fields. If you visit Sapa in harvest period, you can be amazed by the golden view of ripe rice. This is a proud of the local people which is evidence for their efforts. 

Have picnic lunch at Lao Chai Village to get the energy back.   

Go to Ta Van village - home of Dzay, Hmong and Red Dzao ethnic people. Stroll on small paths of the village while observing landscapes of rice fields and small cottage houses near there. Its atmosphere is quite peaceful with wild nature, it is an ideal place for you to run away from busy life. Although their living standard is low, you can see that the ethnic minority own slow paced life. 

Come back to the Sapa city center.  

Check in the hotel. Have dinner and overnight at the hotel. 

Day 2: Sapa - Cat Cat - Sin Chai – Sapa (B/L/D) 

You will go to the Cat Cat village which is home of Hmong ethnic minority. Hmong people are one of the ethnic minorities that account for the most population in the mountainous area. You will go down stone stairs to go inside and explore the village. You will have the opportunity to see how the local life is through their traditional jobs such as feeding castle, weaving brocade, carving silver, etc. Along the stairs, the local also sell handmade stuffs like brocade clothes, silver accessories, and some medicinal plants. You can take a look of their stuffs and can buy as gifts. Don’t forget to ask the price carefully before making a decision! 

 On the way to trek down to the village's bottom, you will see fields filling up flowers (seasonal flowers) and create stunning pictures. This is hot check in place of young people.  

At the bottom of valley, you also see Hydraulic Power Station. French built this in war period to serve for their needs. And there is Cat Cat waterfall (Tien Sa waterfall) nearby which comes from Hoang Lien Son mountain range. There is folk dance here performed by 7 ethnic groups. They will wear traditional clothes and show people special features in their spiritual culture. Spend your time to take rest and enjoy the cool air after trekking route.  

Enjoy the lunch at the local restaurant.  

In the afternoon, you will move to Sin Chai village which is located at the foot of Fansipan mountain. The resident of this village is Black Hmong with main jobs are planting rice fields and raising livestock. Therefore, you will see many terraced fields. This likes an evidence for hard working personality of the local here. The terraced field is a kind of signature point of the north of Vietnam in general and make it becomes more special in Vietnam travelling map. 

Come back to the Sapa city center. 

Have dinner and overnight at the hotel. 

Day 3: Sapa - Bac Ha market (on Sunday only) – Lao Cai station (B/L/D) 

After meeting tour guide, you will get the bus to move to Bac Ha Market.  

Bac Ha Market only opens one day of week, on Sunday. The market is located in center of Bac Ha town. This is one of the biggest and the most popular market of mountain area near borders. There are at least 8 ethnic groups such as Black DzaoNung, Tay, etc. attend to this market.  

You will see many stuffs from foods, souvenirs to clothes, even animals which are shown on small stalls. One of attractive points of the market is looking at ethnic minority’s traditional clothes. You can find many brocade clothes with different colors and details. Walk around the market, you can immerse to crowded and bustle atmosphere and learn more about their culture as well as their lifestyle. The local people come here not only for selling stuffs but also for communication among ethnic groups. Don’t forget to look around and try some local foods here. 

Have lunch with local dishes at Bac Ha town.  

After lunch, you will visit Hoang A Tuong’s palace and Pho village.  

Hoang A Tuong Palace is a big building with 4000m2 area and took 7 years before completing in 1921. This palace was a nightmare of many people in the war time as it and Hoang A Tuong (the owner) stood by French side and always find methods to exploit the people. Hoang A Tuong sold drugs and supplied necessity items: salt and petrol. This palace has a great feng shui: a large hill behind the palace, the two sides having mountains and a stream in the front. Its architecture is a combination between French style and Tay people. 

Then, you will move to Pho village which is located near the foot of Hoang Lien Son mountain range. The village is home of Hmong people. Main jobs off the local here still growing rice, making corn wine. Pho village’s corn wine is quite famous and has its reputation. You will listen to interesting stories from tour guide about the it as well as the local’s life.  

Get the bus to Sapa city and Lao Cai station. Tour ends.
