Brief Itinerary:

OPTION 1: Transfer to Ha Giang by sleeping bus  

Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang – Quan Ba (B/L/D).  

19.30 - 19.45: Pickup you up at the hotel in Old Quarter area then transfer to Ha Giang for starting the tour.  

03.00 – 04.00 (of the following day): Arrive in your homestay in Ha Giang and have a short sleep until the morning. 

Have breakfast at homestay. In this morning, you will have free time to discover the village by yourself. You can  

12.00: Enjoy the local lunch and take rest.  

14.00: Meet customers transferred by day bus and start the tour. Depart from Ha Giang City for Quan Ba mountain. 


OPTION 2: Transfer to Ha Giang by day bus. 

Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang – Quan Ba (L/D) 

6.00 – 6.45: Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi and depart for Ha Giang for your tour. 

12.45 - 13.15: Arrive in Ha Giang and have lunch in the local restaurant. 

14.00: Depart from Ha Giang City for Quan Ba. You will have time to stop on the way to take photos. 

15:30: Stop at Heaven`s Gatespend time to see the panorama of Tam Son Town.  

Continue to Quan Ba. You will check in your homestay around 16.00 to 16.30. Park your motorcycle and take time to rest.  

Then, you will walk around the Nam Dam village and explore it.

19.00: Have dinner at the local homestay and overnight in local homestay. 


Day 2: Quan Ba – Yen Minh - Meo Vac – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Dong Van Old Town (B/L/D) 

Have breakfast at the homestay. Check out your homestay. 

Get your motorbike and continue your journey to Twin Mountain in Quan Ba. 

12.00: Have lunch in the local restaurant in Meo Vac.  

13.00: Keep going to conquer Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of the most beautiful and dangerous four passes in Vietnam. 

Stop at Ma Pi Leng Pass observe its grandeur and Nho Que river with stunning views. 

15.30: Trek through the small villages where H`mong people live. 

17.00: Arrive in Dong Van Town. Check in at the hotel in Dong Van Town. 

19:00: Have dinner and enjoy the night life of the local people there. 

Overnight in hotel. 


Day 3: Dong Van – H’mong King Palace – Ha Giang - Hanoi (B/L) 

Have breakfast at the hotel. Have free time to explore Dong Van by yourself in the early morning.  

8.30: Begin the last day in ha GIang by going straight to Dong Van rocky highland Geopark. 

On the way, you will visit the H`Mong King`s Palace, a beautiful house which has nearly a century old. 

12:30 – 13.00: Enjoy the lunch with Vietnamese dishes. 

We continue to follow the guide trekking, visiting old villages, and the houses of the Tay ethnic minority. 

16.00: Return to Hanoi. 

22.30: Arrive back in Hanoi. Tour ends. 



You have the choice between two options about transportation is sleeping bus and day bus. 
OPTION 1: Transfer to Ha Giang by sleeping bus 

Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang – Quan Ba (B/L/D) 
In the evening, around 19:30, you will be picked up at your hotel in Old Quarter area and leave for Ha Giang by sleeping bus. 
You will arrive at night, between 3.00 and 4.00 the day after. You will be picked up to move to host family where you sleep a little until the morning. 
After breakfast, you will have free time to hike through the rice terraces. There is a tour guide to lead you to explore Thon Tha village. You will visit some villages to experience the authentic daily rural life and discover the culture and customs of the local in the village. 

Have lunch at the local restaurant and get relaxed time before getting driving trip. 


OPTION 2: Transfer to Ha Giang by day bus.  

Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang – Quan Ba. (L/D) 

You will be picked up at your hotel in Old Quarter area around 6.00 and you will leave for Ha Giang by bus.  

You also have a short break time to be relaxed and stretch your legs along the way. It will take around 6.5 hours to reach Ha Giang from Hanoi. This is quite long distance but don’t disappointed, you are going to discover the land of peaceful sceneries. You can take advantage of this chance to observe the views along the route.  

When you arrive in Ha Giang, it’s time for lunch. You will have lunch in local restaurant before starting your real trip! 

You will be received motorbike with full tank for your trip. For your safety, license is required. In this day, you will drive about 80km. Then, you will go straight to Twin Quan Ba Mountain. The distance from Quan Ba Mountain to Ha Giang center is more than 40km. On the way, you will many stunning landscapes of rice fields, mountains and valleys.  

You will stop at Heaven’s Gate which is located between 2 mountains and the space just enough for a road. The road to Heaven’s Gate is quite zigzag so you should drive carefully. From there, you will have a panorama view of Tam Son town as well as row on row of mountains. Because of high topography, weather at the mountain is always cool and comfy. This is a famous check-in of young people and adventure lovers.  

Next, you will continue your journey to Quan Ba. You will go to your homestay to check in, have a sit to rest. You will have an opportunity to explore about the local life of Nam Dam village. You will trek through the villages. Stroll around on small paths and feel quite but restful atmosphere of this land. Moreover, you also visit rammed earth houses of Black Dao, a kind of signature house. All of materials for the house are from nature, with soil and the local’s bare hands. This type of house is recognized as eco-friendly to the environment.  

Enjoy local delicious dinner in one of the local homestays. Overnight in local`s homestay. 


Day 2: Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Meo Vac – Ma Pi Leng – Dong Van (B/L/D). 

Have breakfast in the homestay. You can wake up early in the morning and stroll around the village a little bit and enjoy the cool and fresh air in mountainous area. 

Check out your homestay and grab your backpack to continue discovering this beautiful Ha Giang province. It takes around 4 hours to reach Meo Vac.  

When you drive about 40km, you will see Yen Minh pine forest. This area is dubbed as “Da Lat of northern Vietnam” which area famous for pine trees in Vietnam. Along the road, many pine trees next to each other. Driving between the forest, you will feel comfortable with cool air. If you come there in the sunshine day, you can be lost in winding pine tree roads covering by sunlight. Do not miss your chance to capture all of those moments! 

When the hour hand touches 12 number, it’s time for your meal. You will enjoy lunch at the local restaurant in Meo Vac.  

After lunch and short break time, we keep going to Dong Van and conquer Ma Pi Leng Pass. As mentioned before, Ma Pi Leng Pass owns its special beauty that you shouldn’t miss. Ma Pi Leng means horse’s nose, it is used for describing about the terrain. This is considered as one of the most beautiful roads. The pass is about 20km long and forms part of the Happiness road, which connects Dong Van and Meo Vac districts of the northermost province of Ha Giang. Stand at Ma Pi Leng Pass, you will have a panorama view of Hem Tu San and Nho Que river. From above, look at the river, it likes a crystal long scarf hugging mountains. The river comes from Yunnan, China and through Vietnam for about 46km. The water is green like crystal, except rainy season. The scenery seems a perfect combination of river, mountains. This area gets a slot in must-go bucket list destinations of many rider due to its beauty. 

Then, you will move to the village of Hmong people. You will have time to go inside the village and explore its peaceful imagines. Sometimes, you will see some women in traditional clothes carrying basket to work or some children playing carelessly. The local here is quite friendly so if you find interested and want to take a picture with them or children, just go forward and ask them. See how the local life is, observe their small houses with garden and cattle on paths, it will make great moments that you live slower and enjoy the life much more.

Have dinner at the hotel and spend your free time here. 


Day 3: Dong Van – H’mong King palace – Ha GIang - Hanoi (B/L)  

If you come here on Sunday, you can walk around Dong Van market. You will find many goods in this old market, from foods, clothes, fabrics to agricultural tools, etc. Moreover, this seems become a center that people from different ethnic groups can meet and interact to each other. 

 Then, you will continue your journey to explore Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark. From October 2010, it is recognized as a menber of geopark UNESCO Global Geoparks Network and Asia Pacific. The area of geopark is 2356,8 km2 and is a home of 17 ethnic minorities. Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark spreads 4 districts: Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Meo Vac and Dong Van of Ha Giang province. With 80% of its area is covered by limestone, you will be overwhelmed by a big picture from a lot of different shapes stones. It not only is sculpture product, a historical rocky page of the nature present to human people but also contain values of biological diversity, tourism, fossils,etc.  

On the way you come to visit the Hmong King`s Palace. This is one of the most special cultural and historical monuments in Dong Van. It is located on Sa Phin valley which is around 15km to Dong Van. The place belongs to Vuong Duc Chinh, the leader of Hmong people. To complete this architecture, he hired best people to implement its each part and it lasted 8 years in 20th century. With an area of 1,120 square meters, it has 64 rooms including kitchen, dining room, bed room, a main room for altar and even a room for criminal executions. its design has features of Qing dysnaty from China, French and Hmong. Until now, Hmong King’s Palace still keeps the original shape and its values. Go inside the place, you will be listened to its stories from tour guide while discover its design.

Then you will continue drive to Ha Giang, spend time to be relaxed before getting the bus to return to Ha Noi. Drop you off at your departure point in Ha Noi. Say goodbye to you and see you next trip!
