What To Expect

If you are a climbing lover and always want to conquer goals, this will a perfect choice for you. With 3 days, you will have chance to climb to reach to the peak of Fansipan Mountain, a rooftop of Indochina with 3143m from sea level. On the way, you can get closer to the nature and observe all of stunning views of Mother nature as well as the satisfaction of standing on a mountain top after a long route. However, please note that this is not an easy trip, even for the sport lovers. Therefore, make sure you have enough toughness and health to conquer this mountain!

Brief itinerary: 

Day 1: Lao Cai station - Sapa – Fansipan mountain (2,200 m of altitude) (B/L/D) 

5.30 - 6.15: Pick you up at Lao Cai station to Sapa city center area. Stop at the hotel in city center, you will have free time to have breakfast and to be relaxed before beginning the tour. 

9.00 - 9.30: Meet tour guide, porter and driver at the hotel. Transfer to the Tram Ton Pass (~1900m) to start climbing.  

9.30 - 10.00: Arrive at Tram Ton pass where you will start your trekking tour.  

13.00 - 13.30: Reach 2200m altitude. Have picnic lunch and take rest.  

In the afternoon, you will continue to climb up to 2800m. It takes an average time around 4 - 5 hours to get there.  

Arrive at 2800m altitude. Take time to rest.  

Have dinner at there. Overnight at a camp at this altitude. 

Day 2: Fansipan mountain 2,800m – 3143m - 2200m (B/L/D) 

Have breakfast to fill up your energy. 

6.00: Start trekking to the peak of mountain with 3143m altitude. 

9.00 - 9.30: Reach your hand at the top of the mountain. Spend time to admire the nature’s beauty with stunning panoramic views. 

Come back to 2800m.  

12.00 - 12.30: Have lunch and take free time to be relaxed.  

After the meal, you will climb down to 2200m. It takes about 4 hours.  

Have free time at your leisure.  

Have dinner and overnight at 2200m altitude.  

Day 3: Fansipan mountain 2,200 – Sapa city or Lao Cai station (B/L/D) 

Have breakfast to fill up your energy.  

7.30 - 8.00: Climb down to the foot of mountain. There are 2 returning ways that you can choose: route through Tram Ton Pass or route along Sin Chai – Cat Cat village.  

The route which along Sin Chai – Cat Cat village is quite harder to climb and take more than around 1 hour comparing to Tram Ton pass route. (Hiking time is also depending your health, those time is just for reference) 

Get the car to come back Sapa city center.  

12.00 - 12.30: Have lunch at the local restaurant.  

Have free time to explore and stroll around Sapa. 

17.30: Get the bus to Lao Cai station. Tour ends. 



Day 1: Lao Cai station - Sapa – Fansipan mountain (2,200 m of altitude) (B/L/D) 

You will be picked up at Lao Cai station and transfer to the hotel in Sapa city center. Have free time to get breakfast and be relaxed before a trek.  

After meeting tour guide and porter, you will get a ride to Tram Ton Pass (. It takes around 30 minutes to get there from Sapa city center with 13km distance. Tram Ton Pass has another name is Heaven Gate. This pass is the highest pass It was voted as one of the 10 most beautiful destinations in Vietnam. You will start your route to conquer Fansipan mountain from there.  

With the height of 3143m from sea level, this mountain is the highest mountain, the rooftop of Indochina (Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia). Fansipan Mountain is located in the southwest of Sapa town and located on Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range, it has become a dreamy destination of many climbing lovers. This tour is not an easy hiking tour so please be sure that you have enough heath and strength to join this tour.

You will climb to 2200m area. Get rest time to observe the nature’s landscapes.  

Have lunch here to recharge your energy.  

In the afternoon, you will continue to climb to 2800m of altitude. This road is the hardest part in your trekking route. The terrain is quite hard to walk. During this day, you will pass through small streams and bamboo forests. This is a good time for you to get closer to the nature, find peace in observing small beautiful flowers or listening songbirds along the road.  

When you get 2800m of altitude, you will stop at a simple house where you will spend one night to stay. Have free time to be relaxed after a long day. And then, enjoy your fresh dinner in cool weather of mountain.  

Each person will have a sleeping bag for a cozy sleep. Just take a deep sleep to recharge the energy for your body! 

Day 2: Fansipan mountain 2,800m – 3143m peak of the mountain (B/L/D) 

You can wake up early in the morning and enjoy the fresh and cool air of the mountain. If you come here in winter, it can be foggy. It seems like you can touch clouds. You can hunt cloud there and take amazing photos. 

After having breakfast, you will continue the route of the second day. For this day, you will reach to the peak of Fansipan mountain and also the rooftop of 3 countries of Indochina. Stand on the highest point and touch your hand on summit stone will be the best moment of the trip. From there, you will have an amazing panoramic view of the mountain. You also see giant Buddha statue and temples nearby which make the view become more mysterious and attractive. Let's take a deep breath to your lungs and enjoy this view! On the road, sometimes, you will feel tired and just want to stop but its view is worth for your all efforts. Don’t forget to capture all of this beautiful landscapes by your phone or camera! 

Then, you will climb down to 2800m. You will have lunch and take a short rest time here.  

After the meal, you will continue to hike down to 2200m. You will spend the second night in this trip at the camp at 2200.  

Have a cozy dinner there with other people from other groups. This will be a good time to make friends and chat together.  

Day 3: Fansipan mountain 2,800 – Sapa city or Lao Cai station (B/L/D) 

For the last day, you will climb down the mountain. You can discuss the starting time to tour guide depending on your health. However, the most ideal time to begin around 7.30 AM. There are 2 different ways to go to the foot of mountain: one way is pass through Tram Ton pass, the other is along Sin Chai – Cat Cat village. The route near Sin Chai – Cat Cat village will be longer, steeper. You can consider and let tour guide know which one that you want.  

On the way, you will continue to observe the landscapes filling up green shades from trees. There are many types of tree in your route. And some of them are rare species of plants, tour guide will let you know when you are near them. Some parts of the route are quite slippery and steepy so be sure that you have good hiking shoes to keep your balance dig in to natural terrain 

Get the car to come back to Sapa city center.  

Have lunch at the local restaurant. Finish 3 days to conquer the highest mountain of Indochina. 

If you have more time, you also can stroll around Sapa town to learn more their culture through the market or street food. You also can use massage service to be relaxed after this hiking tour. However, don’t forget to ask the price carefully before making a decision.  

Get the bus to Lao Cai station. Tour ends.
