Far from Danang City Centre is approximately 7km, Marble Mountain or 5 elements mountains located in Ngu Hanh Son Ward. Located 40km far from the center of Da Nang towards southwest, Ba Na Hills is a national nature reserve area with 1489 meters high above the sea level. From Ba Na Hills, visitors can admire the city and the sea and fields. Coming here, tourists should visit the Linh Ung Pagoda with the 27 meters tall Buddha Statue, Suoi Mo, Toc Tien Falls, or indoor amusement Fantasy Park.
You definitely must go to these two beaches as My Khe Beach was voted by Forbes Magazine (USA) as one of six most attractive beaches in the planet. Built on the axis of the Bach Dang Street, connect Hai Chau distric with Son Tra district, Han River Bridge is the pride of Danang’s people. The beautiful bridge is getting more highlights when night falls and this is definitely a place that you should not miss when coming to this peaceful city. At 0h30 each night, Han bridge turns 90 degrees around the axis for large ships to pass, and closes around 3:30 am.
This is also the new symbol of Danang City, visiting The Bridge of love; couples can buy lock here or prepare their own love padlock and put on the bridge as a witness of a deep love. If you come here on the weekend, you can stand here to watch the Dragon Bridge breathe fire and water, enjoy cool wind from the river and tasting some favorite ice cream.
Located far from Danang’s center around 10km to the northeast, Son Tra Peninsula is like jewel of Danang with 4,439 ha area, the highest point being 696 meter. Coming to Son Tra Peninsula, visitors can experience many forms of tourism from the forest to the sea with diverse flora and fauna. Hai Van Pass is one of the most beautiful landscape lied between the boundary of Thua Thien Hue and Da Nang. From Hai Van Pass you can see the entire city of Da Nang, far away is Cham Island . On top of the mountain you can stop to admire the Nam Quan with many historical stories associated with this land. From Hai Van Pass looked back to Hue, you can see Lang Co Beach with white sand.
Danang City has two separate seasons which is rain season and dry season. Rainy season lasts from August to December and the dry season from January to July, there is occasional winter but not last long.
- From September to May: this is the best time to travel to Danang with the temperature range from 18-23 degree C, very cool climate. This is also the most suitable time for travelers who have small budget because the service prices (car rental, accommodation prices…) is lower than in summer period.
- From June to August: this is summer period with high temperature from 33-34 degree C; therefore if you cannot stand the heat, you should not travel at this time. However, you can take a dip in the blue sea water in the most beautiful beach in the world. This is also the travel time of domestic tourists.
