The city of Luang Prabang, the second largest city in Laos, has a small international airport called Luang Prabang International Airport. Located just 4 kilometers northeast of the center of the city of Luang Prabang, Luang Prabang International Airport consists of 1 single terminal building where domestic flights and international flights also operate.
The beautiful city of Luang Prabang is located next to the Mekong River and the mountains. Formerly from Luang Prabang Airport was considered dangerous airport due to its proximity to the mountains. To reassure travelers say improvements in the infrastructure of the Luang Prabang Airport were completed to ensure the safety of flights, being the airport of Luang Prabang much safer to land or take off in the year 2011.
